Curry: Rosa’s Cantina It’s What’s For Dinner

Curry: Rosa’s Cantina It’s What’s For Dinner

One of the nicest things about life is the way we must regularly stop whatever it is we are doing and devote our attention to eating…

It has begun… the loooooonnnnngggg road to catching up with my posts but to the kitchen we go!!

Rosa’s Cantina again is where I make my way for dinner, Bella had gotten Lamb Curry from there not even a week ago when we went there to eat and I tasted hers and I was eager to go back there to get some of my own. I decided to go for take out since I was still in my work clothes and stuff but when I got home it was all over… You know when you are in the comfort of your own home you can pretty much eat as messy as you want… WELL between the lamb curry and the mango chutney, let’s just say it’s a good thing they don’t use cheap napkins.

Coconut Rock : It’s What’s For Dinner

One cannot think well, love well, sleep well, if one has not dined well…

This week must have been eat out week because yesterday I just got take out and now today I am craving Coconut Rock so of course it’s what’s for dinner, Lola can not deny a craving… that is a food sin!! Every time that I have eaten at Coconut Rock whether it is dinning in or take out I have never been let down. This is a restaurant that I actually eat from and eat various things off the menu instead of just one or two… your proud of me ‘inna’ I deserve a picky eaters award!! LOL

Home Cooked!!

Home Cooked!!

Cooking is at once one of the simplest and most gratifying of the arts, but to cook well one must love and respect food…

Well I decided that it was time to put my apron on and get back into the kitchen and create some magic…LOL. I decided to cook a Sunday meal for my two favorite people and Bella really likes my salmon so I decided to make that with some brown rice and corn. For desert I made brownies with my new Perfect Brownie kit. When I cook my salmon I usually bake it I haven’t really tried it any other way. This time along with my seasonings I sliced up fresh lemon and placed it on top of them to reduce the fishy taste, salmon is a very oily fish and it has a strong taste which most people can’t handle. My rice I actually cook from scratch and I also prepare that in the oven, I put all the ingredients in the dish and let it cook.

Easter!

Easter!

A good cook is like a sorceress who dispenses happiness…

Easter Sunday dinner, and its my first time cooking anything for it… I’m so proud of myself for even cooking anything. Considering it is only two of us I decided to cook a very small dinner, when I say small I mean small I baked lamb and made scalloped potatoes. I was going to cook more but considering I still had fish cakes and buns left it didn’t make sense having all this food.

Rosa’s Cantina!!!

Rosa’s Cantina!!!

A taste of Mexican….

Last night “The Trio” went to dine in at Rosa’s Cantina. It’s been a while since I actually sat in to eat at Rosa’s but the wait was WELL worth it. You would think as a mexican restaurant that’s all that they would sell but nope they serve a wide range of food.

Normally when I go to Rosa’s I usually get take out but dinning in last night was such a great decision. All of the staff is so helpful and they constantly come back to check on you to ensure that the food is to your liking.

Bottom Feeders

Bottom Feeders

So it’s exactly a week today since Lobster season has ended and of course I am craving one :( Honestly I didn’t think that I would be craving one so far considering this season I went to 13 different restaurants for Lobster. The best restaurant so far was Black Horse Tavern, their stuffing has a sweet taste but it’s so good! My inner fat kid always got excited when it came down to having a lobster dinner. Fish Hut would be next, their stuffing is ‘vellll’ they have shrimp in their stuffing and cheese on top of the lobster which just topped it off.
